HERITAGE WEATHERBOARD: RENOVATION AND RESTORATION

This Heritage weatherboard, timber home was in need of a complete restoration and renovation throughout. Everything was replaced from the old style lath & plaster to new gyprock wall linings, flooring, decking, bathrooms, kitchen etc.

The outcome is stunning, and the garden was then finished off by the owners who are in the landscaping business.

Richard Bond recently undertook the complex renovation and extension of our Heritage-listed Sydney property. Due to the extensive quantity of the work, the age of the property and the several previous alterations all to be addressed, this project presented many challenges which could only be identified as the renovation progressed. Richard executed this work with care and attention to detail, utmost professionalism and the constant frank communication necessary for success on such a project. Renovation and addition to original old, free standing single front home. Work included adding additional bedrooms upstairs with new master bedroom/walk-in robe and ensuite. Downstairs incorporated a new kitchen and living area opening to rear decking on both levels. A section of the original ornate ceilings needed repairs and Richard painstakingly fixed the fault to match original as pictured.

Renovation and rear extension to modernise mid-century solid home in Wahroonga. Front of house refreshed, and large, wide entrance hallway leads to new open plan living and beautiful large new kitchen at rear. Opening to timber decking for outside entertaining near existing swimming pool. The home needed updating for today’s lifestyle and they certainly achieved this with beautiful fireplace, TV recess and new kitchen and butler’s pantry – perfect for entertaining.
